Character Development

Empowering your child to find the best direction for their life

Emmanuel offers a number of programs available to students, designed to aid them in establishing and developing the values and traits essential for a successful life. Since implementing these programs, we鈥檝e seen the powerful impact they鈥檝e had on our students as they grow into people of good character.

We believe the Emmanuel Graduate ought to be a compassionate human being, unafraid to be, competent and willing to navigate life using their moral compass to make wise and just choices. They are a strategic participant in a global setting, a person of faith and integrity, aware of an eternal destiny.

Northern Territory Experience

Every Year 10 student is offered the life-changing opportunity to embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Northern Territory. They鈥檒l explore iconic destinations like Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks before venturing into Arnhem Land to connect with Aboriginal communities. More than just a trip, this experience challenges students to step beyond childhood, developing personal growth, resilience and leadership skills that will guide them into the future.

Service Learning

At Emmanuel, we believe that Christianity comes to life through selfless service to others. As part of your child鈥檚 journey with us, they will have many meaningful opportunities to serve and support the Gold Coast community. These experiences help foster compassion and empathy, while building confidence and resilience through real-world connections. From practical service projects like environmental clean-ups and food distribution to creative contributions in the arts, sports, and academics, your child will be encouraged to use their unique gifts to bring beauty and positive change to the world around them.

Duke of Edinburgh Program

Students have the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh program each year. An internationally recognised program for young people, the Award focuses on challenge, adventure and achievement.

In the past, many from Emmanuel have excelled in the program by achieving the highest-level awards. In the program, your child will enjoy the chance to try new activities, learn new skills and build life-long friendships along the way. They鈥檒l have the freedom to choose which activities they鈥檇 like to try, and accomplish things they may have never imagined possible.
