Students seeking enrolment into Year 7 at ÃÈÃÃÉç must sit the selective school's
Placements are offered by the NSW Department of Education Selective Education Team based on the results of that test.
Applications for Year 7 entry in 2027 are now closed.

How to enrol
APPLICATIONS FOR YEARS 8 TO YEAR 11 2027 OPEN MID JUNE 2026
- Applications for Years 8-11, 2026Ìý close Ìýmid-July 2026 at 3:00pm sharp.Ìý No applications will be accepted after this time.
- The placement test in the GHS school hall on 9th August 2025.
- The Selection Committee will meet to consider 2026 applications in September 2025.
- Outcome advice to applicants forwarded by Australia Post in September / October 2025.
ÃÈÃÃÉç and the schools listed below coordinate their entry test procedures for Years 8 to 11.

- Hornsby Girls High School
- Hurlstone Agricultural High School
- Macquarie Fields High School
- Manly Selective Campus
- Sydney Technical High
- Penrith Selective High School
- St George Girls High School
If you wish to apply for other selective schools not on the above list, please make direct contact with the individual school.
You may apply for entry to a maximum of three selective high schools.Ìý To gain entry to the above selective schools in Years 8-11 your child will need to sit theÌý Ìýdeveloped by theÌý Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) Ìýin Melbourne.
If yourÌý first preference Ìýis ÃÈÃÃÉç, you will need toÌý apply and payÌýfor the test at ÃÈÃÃÉç Ìýprior toÌýthe closing date.Ìý Your child will then sit the test at ÃÈÃÃÉç.
You must sendÌý separate applications Ìýto all the Selective High schools in which you are seeking enrolment.
An administration fee ofÌý $50 Ìýis required to lodge an application at ÃÈÃÃÉç if we areÌý NOT Ìýyour first choice.

All applicants must bring a photo ID to the exam.

Along with the application the following information is also required.
- A covering letter
- A copy of your child's birth certificate, citizenship certificate or passport and visa documents
- Copies of the last 2 years reports
- Half yearly report for 2025 (If 2025 halfÌýyearly report is not available before closing date, please send in your application with all the other required documents with a covering letter explaining the halfÌýyearly report will be forwarded as soon as practicable)
- Copies of the most recent NAPLAN results (2025 results can be emailed to the school when available)
- Copies of achievements/awards
- Also attach copies of any relevant documentation that supports the progress of the student
- Due to the volume of applications, we are not able to accept them electronically and no late applications will be accepted.
